Team concept has really taken off. All 3 winners were from various teams and we starting to see more outlandish behavior. It is apparent that we just provide some basic structure and the show is the interaction of athletes, refs, emcee and even the crowd. We have true community theatre at it’s best! When the last rutabaga was tossed we had 10-year-old Eric Nicholson (The Robed Ones) taking the gold medal, Kim Conrad (Scottish Nationals) taking Silver and Evan Varino (Team Matzoh) taking the bronze. Eric declared to the press after his victory ”It’s kinda neat to be the best in the world at something!” Enough Said!
